Desk Clerks are hourly student employees who work at our Front Desks which are open 24 hours a day/7 days a week including some break periods. They are the front line customer service employees for residents living in the residence halls and offer services such as key loans, mail/package processing, recreational and kitchen equipment for check out, answers to frequently asked questions, monitor the security systems in the building, assist with opening and closing the residence halls around break periods and gain access to paraprofessional and professional staff who are on call for emergencies every day and night. Desk Clerks are key to helping our residence hall residents feel a part of our University Housing community.

Working where you live will make your life easier. Assist with meal preparation and service in one or more of the 6 dining halls, 3 retail locations, or University Catering. There are a variety of positions available for all skill levels. No experience necessary! Dining Services also has special service locations offering late night dining, grab-and-go, or fun coffee shops. Work with your friends! You can apply together and work at the same location! Join our team today! You only need to work 4 shifts or 8 hours a week to be eligible for employment. Shifts range anywhere between 1.5 and 5 hours. We are extremely flexible! If you have submitted an application for Fall 2016 and would like to be reconsidered, please update your availability (according to your new class schedule) and re-submit your application. All applications will be for employment for Spring of 2017.

Please wait until you have your class schedule to apply and include any lunchtime availability on your application. Being available during some lunch shifts will dramatically increase your chances of being hired. Please select all the times that you are available to work; not just the times you wish to work. We will only schedule you for four shifts (8 to 10 hours) per week based on the availability you selected on your application. By providing all the time you are available to work, you will have the best possible chance of being hired. The current application is for Spring of 2017 only.
